Coffins... They got me thinking.

Okay. I read somewhere in Hearthfire that vampires can build coffins to sleep in, correct? Well, this got me thinking.. If I remember correctly, coffins that you can sleep in were introduced in Dawnguard... Well, this means that they copied the coffin, and the animations, from Dawnguard and placed them in Hearthfire.

Why this got me thinking? If they are willing to copy this, then just maybe, they are willing to copy other info from Dawnguard/Hearthfire and place them into the next DLC, if needed. What are your thoughts on this?

Also, this does actually makes me happy cause my hopes for a Daedric Crossbow had increased. Like I said, if they are willing to copy one thing then why not copy the crossbow animations into another DLC so they can add more crossbows?

It's not really a copy, but becomes a mechanic of the game so long as the add-on is installed. If you uninstall Hearthfire, your house(s) will be removed from the game, and everything in them if you didn't take them out first.

Every DLC made will have copied features and items from previous DLC, it's just the way it works. Hopefully Bethesda will take existing items and features and expand on them, for example crossbows.

First off all... For five bucks? I don't mind one bit.

Secondly... it's not so much reusing models, but in HOW they are reusing them.

Hearthfire added a semi-robust player housing system... for 5 bucks that's not bad.

Not like World of Warcraft in recent days, where they reuse a TON of existing models for very few content patches, doing the exact same thing they previously did... while you're paying $15 a month. Heck, even the actual final raid zone itself and 2 dungeons were lifted directly from the previous expansion Wrath of the Lich King. That was a whole new low..

I like it! They need more crossbows, especially ones with names and special enchantments. Perhaps they'll adapt some things to accommodate werewolves. Just a few things. It would be fun!

I wish they did but I am certain they will not put in more x-bows in the next DLC.

why isn it that you cant smith crossbows and equipment anywhere but castle dawngaurd? once you've learnt how to do it you should be able to smith anywhere.
