College Applications - Need Some Help

Post » Mon Oct 22, 2012 7:33 am

Alright I'm applying to a few different colleges and all of their applications have a second titled "Awards, Honors, and Recognitions."

I have no idea what to put there. Do I put stuff like I won the Biology Award in 9th Grade for highest Average? I won a District Championship title in Track and Field? I'm part of the National Honor Society?

I feel like they're asking for stuff like "Did you win a national intellectuals conference" or "Did you get a National Merit Award from the President of some profound organization." &--#60;-- I didn't even know that stuff existed until now.

So what do I put on there? School stuff like if I was on the honor roll and all that jazz?

Yes, list all your high school accomplishments, even if they seem minuscule. Things like honor roll and all that. When you graduate certain students are invited to attend an award ceremony if they have earned any awards. Those should go there too.

Alright, thanks guys.

These things are stressing me out. There's so much you have to put down, and I know I can't afford to mess up on any of it. It also doesn't help when the main college you're applying to is the University of Florida. Not many people get in there.
