alright please help me out. i am a level 80 imperial i have beat the revealing the unseen college of winterhold quest. The archmage died and everyone acts normally. i try to talk to mirabelle but she has the normal dialogue she has already had. i really need to beat the this quest i don't want to restart everything just to do this. can someone please help me out.

Have you been asked to look for the Staff of Magnus?

That is definitely a bug, because I am having the same issue; lots of people are. Sadly it is not included in the list of fixes in version 1.4

Has anyone found a way around this? I just ran into this problem last night. After the explosion Mirabelle asks me to find the Arch Mage, who's dead of course. Even though she asks me to find him the "Containment" quest won't start. There are no mages standing around the Arch Mages corpse and if I try to talk to Mirabelle again she just has the normal conversation stuff. Needless to say I can't start the Staff of Magnus quests because this one won't activate and I'm * self censored *.

Just thought I'd post an update. I managed to get the "Containment" quest to activate! I noticed I had some open Collage of Winterhold quests (Onmund's and J'Zargo's) so I completed those, then went back and completed "Revealing the Unseen" and the quests (Revealing to Containment) transitioned fine.

I can't start 'containment' either. Same bug, but all the fix-suggestions relate to loading a previous save. This I sadly do not have, so after a month with this problem I'm seriously considering getting a refund for this game.

Did you revert back to a save before you even took the Unseen quest? I hope not, I did some 40 hours of questing before I officially went into that dungeon.
