Colored shadows

Hi all,

When I entered in Ghost Hideout, I saw these ugly green shadows... after some reading on different forums, it seems that it's not a bug and it's an artistic choice from developers (it only occurs inside and every zone has its own shadows coloring, like green, blue or purple)

If it's a deliberate choice, it's a very bad one ! Was id Software so bored with the id Tech 4 entirely black shadows (remember Doom 3 ?) that they decided to be excessive on the other way in id Tech 5 ? As I've read in forums, for many people, these completely unrealistic shadows are far more distracting and unimmersive than any other technical aspect (like popping megatextures problem, which can be dramaticaly reduced to be unnoticeable)

I've also read that it's a post processing effect, and there must be a cvar in the engine to disable it... (It's not a gamma/brightness or monitor calibration problem because everybody sees the same colors)

Did someone tried to disable that ? Any help would be greatly appreciated !

I've just found a cvar that is perhaps the good one to disable tinted shadows : r_envBlendAmbient (1 by default)
The problem is that it seems to be read-only...
