Many players have expressed their frustration at not being able to clear certain quests (like some of those named above) from their journal without breaking out of their 'good character' roleplay. Some of these quests do not offer a satisfactory option that would allow the player to intervene as a 'good guy' would or at least fail the quest deliberately and have it cleared from their journal.
In the end, those unwilling to break character might be left with a feeling of incompletion as they are stuck with an unfinished quest and an increasingly messier journal. In some cases, avoiding these quests preemptively is impossible without reading up on it in advance, which can be tedious and give away spoilers. Some players have called for more dialogue/action options, others would be happy with a more organized journal system that would allow players to delete or hide unwanted quests.
Nevertheless, the quests named above are a lot of fun, or at least very intriguing, so I decided to create an evil persona for a second playthrough so that I could enjoy all the darker side of Skyrim without breaking character.
However, I now find myself feeling very awkward about the Main Quest, because ultimately it cannot be completed without doing good deeds, helping people, engaging in diplomatic relations and ultimately saving the world from the evil, power-hungry Alduin.
Why would an eerie, twisted, cannibalistic assassin be interested in all of that?
If anyone else is playing with an evil persona, how are you reconciling the playthrough with the main quest, or have you decided to leave the main quest line entirely out of your 'evil character' roleplay?
