Does anyone know of a mod that has this? I really want a follower that uses shouts like the dragonborn thats not illia,Maybe a greybeard companion? Would prefer it if the companion was a male.

Dude, I think you should forget about it. Unless you're prepared to create it yourself, of course.

Isn't the whole point of Skyrim that the Dovahkin is the only one who can use shouting without years of Greybeard training?

- and who would want one of those depressing old hippies as a companion anyway?

Also, AFAIK, Illia doesn't use shouts, just destruction magic.

I think it would be cool for a mod that allows you to "teach" followers the way of the voice. They could learn just by watching you produce a shout a certain amount of times and then through conversation you could give them the inner knowledge of the shout like the greybeards do to you. But they have to learn the words in order so spamming Fus Ro Dah over and over wouldnt work. You would have to start of with Fus and then move up to Fus Ro and so on.

The only thing that would turn me away from this is the horrible AI. Lydia doent have enough since to stay out of the way of my sword, what makes you think i want her to Fus Ro Dah me of the face of a cliff?

Well Ulfric can shout.
To make it lore friendly then the follower could have learned 1-2 word(s) at the Greybeards and then for some reason left or been kicked out. While traveling with the Dragonborn he/she could learn 1-2 additional word(s) making it a total of two shouts, one with two words and the other at one word.

The dovahkin is so important because of what needs to do to learn shouts, absorb the souls of dragons that otherwise would be raised again.

All skills are supposed to need years of training. The same can be applied to thu'um. It's totally lorefriendly to have followers learning as much shouts as possible, the same way it's lorefriendly for them to learn conjuration or alchemy.
