Companions & Trespassing

I want to play through the game as the ultimate good guy, with no crimes listed in my stats. However, just like Oblivion, that doesn't seem possible. I got a quest from the Jarl of Riften to raid a skooma warehouse, which not only counts as trespassing on the stats menu, but the shipping manifest that I need to collect as evidence counts as a stolen item. I could live with the trespassing stat, but I really didn't want to steal anything. I thought I could get around that by bringing a companion and having them steal it for me, but all they say is "You're not supposed to be in here." over and over. Why did they make it so that you can't interact with companions while trespassing, and are there any NPCs who don't mind trespassing? One would think a brutal mercenary would not give you crap for trespassing, but apparently their morals allow killing for money, but not for trespassing.

You're trying to be the ultimate good guy, who's afraid to trespass at the request of the Jarl of the hold, so you try to get your companions to do your dirty work for you?

You charlatan.

You shouldn't think of it so literally. Yeah, you're technically trespassing and stealing, but you're trespassing and stealing from drug dealers. Don't look at it as a ding on your stats menu. Look at it as vanquishing evil by request of the Jarl.

The ultimate good guy would refuse the quest if it wasn't of good intent. If stealing is necessary, I'm sure he'd do that too.

It's the principle of the thing. If you're raiding some drug dealers at the request of the local authorities, it shouldn't count as a crime. In Oblivion, taking the book from the Mythic Dawn to save the world also counted as a crime. It's kind of stupid. However, I think it's also stupid that your companions, friends or mercenaries, can't even be interacted with while trespassing. Why do they care if I'm not supposed to be in there? If I attacked an old lady, they would kill them for me, yet they get all angry over entering a building.
