I told Sven that me must part ways and I went to get Lydia to follow me but she said I already have someone following me, so I went back to Sven in and he is saying the same thing? Is this a bug? I am playing on xbox 360. I am guessing this is a bug and I am going to have to start the game again?

Try to fast travel to Riverwood ( I take it you're there?). Worked for me.

This is a bit annoying I have been playing for 9 hours as well LOL! I dont know what to do! should I start again or am I missing somthing? any chance its a bug that will be fixed soon? How do we report bugs.

Exactly the same here! Maybe it bugs out if you ask Lydia the first time you speak to her to follow you and you already have Sven following you. I am guessing you did this also?

No, when I talked to Lydia I had told Sven to go home a long time ago.

haha I killed Sven ran away and it just auto saved over my game and now when ever I go to any town im getting attacked by everyone xD just gets better and better

I had this problem and here's what was causing it for me.

I started the "audition" quest for the Companions, and they assigned me a shield-brother. When I talked to my shield brother, they agreed to meet me at the location of our task. I did not go join him immediately. When I did, and finished the quest, he was no longer my companion and other could join up with me normally.
