If you've a stable Win7 installation, you might wanna *shrink it and install Win8 on a separate partition, just in case, that you can dual boot (be able to mess with Win8 externally).
*If Win7 won't shrink itself adequately, temprorarily disable hibernation, recovery, and *paging.
*Win7 and Win8 can share the same pagefile.sys, freeing storage space one partition or the other (8GB in my case).
