Competitive PvP Mode

We know almost nothing of this game, but from the brief gameplay footage we have seen, I'm fairly confident that ESO might have the best combat system ever in an MMO. Therefore, it would be a shame if the game didn't have a competitive PvP mode (by that I mean small scale arenas, like 4v4/5v5).

MMOs typically fall short in the gameplay department by offering mickey-mouse gameplay mechanics like click-to-move and auto-attack. ESO seems to get rid of the training wheels and implements a fast-paced, action-RPG style of gameplay. This is something that could flourish as an e-sport if done properly.

A competitive PvP mode would have to be void of levels of course (like the Structured PvP mode in GW2 which is completely segregated from the core game) so that everyone is on equal footing and that skill trumps time investment. Perhaps Bethesda can even release this mode as a separate game (similar to what Arenanet did with GW1 later in the game's life cycle). I would gladly pay $60 just for PvP (assuming that the gameplay is as awesome as I expect it to be).

Your thoughts?
