Completely Lost in Hm's Realm

So have no clue what im supposed to do in hms realm with the books..ive got to the part where the quest marker is above you at the three headed statue and dunno how to get up there...anybody done it yet?

I felt that way when I went to Soul Cairn for the first time. I just ran off into it thinking it would be no prob.
