Computer Shuts Down in-game and Reboots to BSOD

Post » Mon Jul 30, 2012 2:36 am

Hello, I just got Skyrim today and installed it and began playing. I got to the end of the tutorial and my computer suddenly shut off. I turned it back on and it went to a blue screen. I cut the computer back off, waited a while, and turned it back on. Running it in repair mode, I got back to my stuff and was able to log in. I attempted to play Skyrim again, and the exact same thing happened (not at the same location. These crashed seem to be random). This has me worried, and I'm wondering if anybody knows the cause of this? If you need any additional information, please let me know.

Conclusion

2 crash dumps have been found and anolyzed. No offending third party drivers have been found. Consider configuring your system to produce a full memory dump for better anolysis.

Read the topic .... for more information.

Note that it's not always possible to state with certainty whether a reported driver is actually responsible for crashing your system or that the root cause is in another module. Nonetheless it's suggested you look for updates for the products that these drivers belong to and regularly visit Windows update or enable automatic updates for Windows. In case a piece of malfunctioning hardware is causing trouble, a search with Google on the bug check errors together with the model name and brand of your computer may help you investigate this further.

I read it, and have no idea what it means. Any tips anybody?

Go to Start/Windows icon then run and type dxdiag and save all information and copy the saved information to this thread with spoilers just like you did above.
