I remember one of the earliest screenshots clearly showed a bound bow. So that might go under conjuration.

When I was watching a Skyrim stream I thought I saw a new shout; something called "clear day". I didn't see the description.

Anyone know anything about these Ward spells?

Nice character class to race to thread concern ratio. :D

I think they prevent a fixed amount of damage from being dealt to the caster. There is a Restoration perk that upgrades them to absorb some magicka from magic attacks as well.

Another confirmed Dragon Shout is Clear Skies (effect is unknown). Also, I believe the summon dragon is the third part of Animal Alleigance, but feel free to correct me if I am wrong.

Ah good, that's what I was hoping for; since I gave up Alteration for Restoration.

OP you should include bound bow to the conjuration list.

What does the clone user and death mark shout do?

Well for clone user I would assume it makes a copy of yourself to fight for you, and death mark might just be an effect you cast on a single enemy, and it makes them take more damage/drain health.

You could still use Alteration without any perks though... The shield spell will probably be too much of a drain on your magicka but the armour spells should be perfectly usable :)

What does the clone user and death mark shout do?

Clone user (Fik Lo Sah) has only been seen, at least in my case, by an NPC. It created a spectral form of the user that the player could practice dragon shouts on. In combat, they will probably be used like the target dummies from Bioshock.
Marked for Death is still unknown. I would assume a target marked for death is more likely to suffer crits or extra damage; anything to kill it faster.

The more I see of these dragon shouts, the more it seems that they are made for dealing with bosses and special enemies. They basically let the user do massive burst damage in exchange for long cooldowns.

Yea, but if you use to many skills, you will have a hard time getting certain skills to 100. Which makes you unable to put a point in the final perk.

Do we know the effects of these two restoration spells?

"Guardian Circle"

"Steadfast Ward"

guardian circle i think is a more potent version of the circle of protection we saw in the e3 demo. And steadfast ward just protects against more damage than lesser ward does

Oh yeah, I know that. Its just I don't really want to be too wasteful with my magicka. Plus as far as I know the wards last until it exceeds its damage threshold which is a huge bonus for me.

On Topic: I remember someone posted something about a fire dog summon.

If you're only using a skill sparingly then sure, I can see that having a negative impact upon your levelling speed, although we have no idea to what extent that impact will be, but if you keep your minor skills (unperked) at roughly the same level as your majors then I really can't see how it would be a problem.

oh I see. Thanks!
And have you seen this ward spells in action? I'm curious about how they work. More precisely:

1) are they cast-once buffs that give you increased armor rating/magic resistance, spells you have to sustain or "threshold-spells" that can receive x amount of damage until disappearing?

2) do they block physical damage, magical or both?

Think of it as a shield in front of your character made of a transparent light blue magic. I'm not sure if it blocks phsyical damage but i do know that it can block spells easily.

Right...sorry for being persistent but isn't the spell effect you are describing the "shield spell" from alteration? I'm not sure but I once saw a liked PAX video featuring a necromancer using a "shield made of transparent light blue magic". I assumed that that was the shield spell from alteration. Am I wrong or the ward spells simply look similar to shield spells?

I'm having the soft lvl cap of 50 in mind, so lets say at lvl 50 people can get 4 skills to max (100) by only putting the focus on those 4 skills. If by chance you are using 9 skills, you might only get 1 or 2 skills to get at 100, and so only able to get 1 or 2 end perks from the trees.
