We're going to need a mod to speed them up. Picture those stubby little legs in a blur of motion. :)

I'm just looking forward to the point at which I have access to the Creation kit, when I can create a custom spell that fortifies all of a Mubcrab's attributes, heals it for ungodly amounts every second, lights its claws on fire and sends it on a frenzied warpath through every major town on the map, dishing out death to all that meet its cruel pincers.

I wonder... Can you reanimate a Mammoth or Giant and have him follow you around until it perishes...again?

Sure it is. Command Animal and lead it around killing stuff until it dies, then use the Raise Zombie to get extra duration.

Every Mudcrab body that is not exterminated turns into one of them. It gets up and pinches. The people it pinches get up and pinch.

Imagine a Dragon shout that summoned an army of mudcrabs. That would be awesome. Also, imagine a GIANT undead mud crab, that shoots fireballs out his mouth.
