Confused about storyline (boulder city)

Post » Tue May 17, 2011 3:29 am

Spoiler warning

So i'm following the trail of Benny and his Khan dudes. Guy in the dino tells me theyre up in boulder city. I go up there, NCR is in conflict with Khans held out with hostages. I free the hostages, kill all the khans. Found a note on a Khan talking about getting the job with benny.

Suddenly my next quest marker is to go straight to vegas. I dont get it, seems so sudden. Did I miss some blaring piece of info linking all this to vegas?

If you had talk to the khans, or killed them, your choice, they mention Benny weaseled them out of their share of the job, and that he's likely back at The Strip by now.

I am trying to do that quest now without killing the Khans, but they keep opening up on me and they are all showing red markers. Just how important is it to talk with Jessup? It's a little hard to speak with him when he is shooting at you. I can only surmise that my reputation with the NCR is the problem.

you had two choices before going into the ruins. 1) negotiate. 2) fight. if you chose option 2 in dialogue they will automatically be hostile. I low speech at the time (fixed that later) but I went back to a save 10 minutes before and picked the talk option. if you picked the talk option and they are hostile, it is some sort of bug,

I don't think a high NCR rep is an issue - I think you need to take the right dialog path with the NCR officer who tells you about the hostage situation.

Thanks for the quick replies. I did choose to talk rather than fight; I want to stay friendly to all except the Legion as long as possible. I will reload and try again.
