Connecting Xbox with windows 7 PC.

I bought a new Xbox about 4 months ago, My old xbox was already activated on my PC. When I try to play any music on this new one it says "Please make sure your Xbox 360 is activated on the PC" When I try to activate it through windows media player it does not let me select my network and there is nothing shown in the box. My new xbox is connected to Windows Media Center if that matters. Here is a picture of what I mean.

That drop down box is empty. Last I checked the proper services are running on my computer, they are all set to automatic and I have tried uninstalling then reinstalling Windows Media Player. If anyone can help I would be most appreciative. If you could list all of the required services just so I can make sure I didn't miss any that would be great to.

Also I have tried going into the networks area and right clicking on my xbox and allowing media sharing but it is not available in the list, only "Install, Properties and, create shortcut". My Xbox also only appears when I am at the dashboard, it appears under gaming devices rather than media devices.
