NO Connection for Multiplayer when using MSE AnitVir

Post » Fri Sep 17, 2010 3:20 pm

Hello dear Crysis Community,

I want to report the following problem, and hope to get help or assistance.

While using the Microsoft Anti-Virus Solution "Security Essentials" which I like to keep installed, Crysis 2 wont allow me a connection to the Multiplayer mode. What I can report is that, after initiating the login process in the Crysis 2 Multiplayer, while this programm MSE is installed on my Windows 7 OS, I get a Network Connection error.

After I uninstalled and removed all programm data, quitted the services and reboot, everything works just as it should.

Moreover I should say, that I'm currently connecting to Crysis 2 Multiplayer via a students dormitory connection.
However since it's working without the programm being installed this should hopefully not be the problem.

If anyone could help me with that issue that would be truley awesome :)

greetings to all !

Set up an override in the MSE forwarding settings.

Alternatively, turn off MSE's Firewall and get an actual, good firewall. Try Sourceforge.

What exactly do you mean with "override set up" please explain, this more detailed.

I now uninstalled Microsoft Security Essentials, and I still got the same Network Connection error sometimes.

Yesterday I could play the multiplayer without any problems, however today when I started the game, again the network connection error appeared.

Please can someone help me with this issue ?
