» Tue Nov 06, 2012 5:30 am After updating to the 1.8 patch I have been facing pretty consistent crashing while venturing around near the Morthal, Dawnstar area, and once on the way to Windhelm. Most of the crashes can be repeated, but some seemed completely random. I haven't played enough on the other parts of the map, but its been quite common in the snowy areas. I've seen other people's threads about crashing after 1.8 and have seen that its mostly caused by SkyTest and iHud, neither of which I have. I've ran BOSS, cleaned all of the mods that it said were dirty, followed up on its suggestion, rebuilt the bashed patch, and I still am recieving crashing. I really don't know what's causing it but its really hampering my ability to play.
Also, this might be an unrelated problem, but while playing I sometimes get bouts of extreme fps drops, where the game will freeze up every second or so for a bit then keep going. Everything else always runs smoothly, and I'm only running the medium graphics preset which I know my graphics card is good enough for.
Any help on either of these problems will be greatly appreciated!
