Ahhh, the feared ~ key which pops up the devastating console. Many have underestimated its prowess, equally many haven fallen before its might.
Seriously though, as long as you don't start messing around with it, nothing much can go wrong. Most codes only apply to the specific save file (and following saves if you continue playing and saving after using the codes), so there's nothing much to fear there. If you did accidentally use a code you didn't mean to, reloading to a previous save will clean your slate. Unless you activate a batch file via the console, but you'll have to create a batch file and put it in the Skyrim folder beforehand to make that work ... And with batch files, you can do virtually anything, from changing a colour to deleting the ini files on your computer and f*cking up your OS. But then again, you don't need Skyrim for that.
