Ehy,i wanted to ask if enabling console command button can somehow corrupt the data.I accidently pressed the button to pop up the command,i didn't type anything though. It's the only pressing the button a possible problem for the data file? And if not, which cheats can harm your game?Thank you!

I guess it could be possible but simply pressing the ~ key isn't going to make game implode.

Ahhh, the feared ~ key which pops up the devastating console. Many have underestimated its prowess, equally many haven fallen before its might.

Seriously though, as long as you don't start messing around with it, nothing much can go wrong. Most codes only apply to the specific save file (and following saves if you continue playing and saving after using the codes), so there's nothing much to fear there. If you did accidentally use a code you didn't mean to, reloading to a previous save will clean your slate. Unless you activate a batch file via the console, but you'll have to create a batch file and put it in the Skyrim folder beforehand to make that work ... And with batch files, you can do virtually anything, from changing a colour to deleting the ini files on your computer and f*cking up your OS. But then again, you don't need Skyrim for that.

Probably a lot of others, but the cheat that would totally screw up your game that comes to mind first would be killing an annoying - but essential - npc.

As far as just ruining your enjoyment of the game, there are SO many ways to do this that just combining them all into the one word "cheating" covers it.

If you are asking what NOT to do, spell it out and someone will respond. On the other hand, if you have access to a friends game and want to mess
with them .... spell it out, and someone will probably respond to that, too.

It can if you abuse the console. Or to many error codes pop up. But generally it just crashes the game.
