Constant crashing, Talos save me

Normally I wouldn't ask for help with this, but I've tried everything to get this game to stop crashing and I'm at the end of my rope. I'd REALLY appreciate some help with this.

Basically this game has been crashing constantly since I bought it. The first time it crashed was during the introduction scene in Helgen. It crashed while on the cart to the headsman's block. Several times it crashed at the same place, (right when Ralof is saying "General Tullius, the military gover-CRASH!) sometimes it crashed later after customizing my character. Eventually I was able to get past the intro by turning down many of the settings, but the game still crashes at other times even with all the settings at minimum.

It crashes randomly when exploring. Some areas seem to be worse than others. I will get a consistent crash when travelling the road west out of Solitude, close to the Stormcloak camp. Sometimes I'll be able to explore for an hour or longer without issues, sometimes I'll get crashes every few minutes. Indoor areas and cities are generally better, almost all of the crashes occur when exploring outdoors.

It will usually crash to desktop without any warning, but sometimes it will get stuck on loading screens when moving from place to place, fast travelling, etc. Sometimes it will freeze and I'll have to Ctrl+Alt+Del to kill the process directly. Sometimes it crashes when quick saving and I'll have to load an older save, sometimes it crashes when pressing the escape key.

The game also runs perfectly fluid, apart from the crashes I get no performance drop whatsoever even with the highest settings. My specs are as follows;

Windows 7 32 bit
Intel Dual Core i3-2120 3.3GHz CPU
3.6GB RAM
NVidia GTX 560 Video Card

All my drivers are up to date and I'm running the latest version of DirectX.

According to the system requirements the game should run fine on my system, which it does... apart from the crashes. I should also mention that I've been playing other games (Dishonored, Orcs Must Die! 2, Civilization V, Dragon Age Origins, etc.) without any of these issues. It's specifically a problem with Skyrim.

I have several mods installed, but these crashes have been happening since before I had ANY mods, and that includes Hearthfire, the only DLC I have so far. Here are the mods I have right now;

Hearthfire
Guard Dialogue Overhaul
Kynesguard/Daedra Hunter Armor
Unofficial Hearthfire Patch
Unofficial Skyrim Patch
Follower Trap Safety
Fixed Followers Lite
Shadow Striping Fix
Cloaks of Skyrim
Helmet Requirement Remover
Thieves Guild Requirements - No Auto Quest Start
Dynamic Merchants
Pure Waters
Bandolier - Bags and Pouches

Yes, I use BOSS. I'm not using the high definition texture pack.

Things I have tried so far with no results:
Changing the sound settings to 44.1hz (and several other settings)
Verifying the game cache
Uninstalling all mods and starting a new game
Re-installing the game on a different hard drive
Downloading a frame-rate limiter to limit FPS to 50
Cleaning dirty edits in Hearthfire.esp and Update.esp using the TES5 editor (as recommended by BOSS)
Running the game in Windows XP and Windows Vista compatibility mode As Administrator (I get the Steam error, "this application is already running" and the game won't launch)
Running Steam in offline mode
Running Skyrim from the exe directly in the directory (even if I shut down Steam, it just launches it anyway when I click the exe)

I just don't know what else to do at this point. Everything I've tried has been completely fruitless.
