Constantly checking your email? There's an easier way!

Post » Fri Mar 01, 2013 8:50 am

I keep seeing posts on here to the effect of "I check my email every 30 seconds for that magical beta invite". My question is why? Even if you're too cheap to get the most basic of smartphones, and thus get instant notifications, you can at least get an email client like outlook or msn, that'll throw out a pop-up on your desktop when emails come in.

It just seems daft that people have been wasting so much time over the last month, when the alternatives are so much easier.

Hahaha. I have already done that. Everytime I receive a notification , my heart bits faster and then disappointment...

Why check your email at all until they announce that they are sending out invites?

They said they would post it on FB and Twitter when they started.

Then, I have to ask, why are you still checking your email so often?

This...doesn't make a whole lot of sense I'm afraid.

Fair point, but you might get the email before you see it on FB. And besides, by checking the "get notifications" box on the ESO group page, my phone takes care of that too.

I suggest you not make a thread just to call other members daft. Some members may not like constant pop ups and notifications or get so many they would still need to check frequently. Closed for flaming other members.
