Content Distribution Between TES:O and the TES Series

And on another note, which I'm a little surprised hasn't been pointed out already but might have been forgotten in the topic drift:

The Silence was Broken on the 23rd.

Interesting.

Unbeknownst to all but a few, Nirn has come unmoored from the fabric of the multiverse, as the mortal realm is drawn ever closer to Coldharbour, the twisted Oblivion realm of the Daedric Prince of domination and enslavement, Molag Bal. The Planemeld, a process in which the two worlds slowly become one, is threatening the existence of all races on Tamriel.

Eruptions of darkness have appeared in Nirn where one can step directly from Tamriel into Coldharbour, and they are spreading. Nirn is being drawn toward Coldharbour by Dark Anchors, powerful magical objects embedded in Tamriel’s surface. Each death in Tamriel weakens the barriers between worlds. With war erupting throughout the continent, the Planemeld is accelerated, bringing the Daedric Prince’s scheme closer to fruition.

The Imperial City, and with it, the throne of Tamriel, is controlled by Molag Bal’s followers.

Well, this may undermine the idea that TES:O will not affect the TES series in any meaningful sense. Specifically, throughout the TES series, it is hinted that what is in the plane of Coldharbour may be a premonition of Nirn's future—a hinted future plotline in the TES series. But, instead of this being the case, this potential plotline is now in use in TES:O and, thus, this diminishes the possibility that this plotline will be used in the TES series. Otherwise, to follow the implied original plan for this plotline as well would involve setting a precedent for the highly questionable practice of duplicating content between TES:O and the TES series.

Now, I am willing to bet that many strict fans of the TES series, including me, were looking forward to playing through a TES game with a similar plotline, but, now, they will probably be forced to play TES:O in order to be able to play through such a plotline.

Now, the question remains: How does BGS and ZOS plan to address this issue and other issues which are related to content distribution between TES:O and the TES series?

... why exactly does the fact that TESO uses that plotline affect TES? They can still use TES. and "nirn beeing pulled into coldharbour" isnt realy a good storyline anyway.

Just wait for the Landfall.

Because duplicating content like similaras in similar, but not the exact samemajor plotlines between TES:O and the TES series could be considered, from a business viewpoint, a waste of resources.

oh no TESO has 4 provinces in it we were already in to. NOOOOO.

Oh no! In Skyrim you can see Sheogorath, but weve already seen him! BOOO!

seriously thats nonsense. Also since Coldharbour is a deadric realm, if we see it in a different game, itll likeley be different.

Yeah i don't really see what the issue is. This MMO isn't really a part of the Single player series. You need to look at it as a spin off of the series. The single player games will continue and will have their own lore to use.
