That's what I thought when I tried using my Logitech MoMo Racing Wheel in ETQWs. I used the tech guide for selecting the wheel as the controller which works with joysticks, but it just didn't work. Other forum members tried it as well without any luck. The problem is that id didn't use any packaged controller support...they created their own. Consequently ETQW only works on controllers which they support and no wheels are supported. I'm just totally hoping that since RAGE has a much larger vehicle component then they will look into using a packaged controller support module or at least spend the extra couple of days to at least support the MoMo since it's by far the most common and readily available wheel.
ETQW has two components. The a modified ID Tech 4 Engine, And the Game ETQW. ID software makes ID Tech 4; witch has support for many kinds of input devices, including wheels. ETQW, made by splash damage, dose not support wheels.
I know the feeling. I'd love to see ID Tech 5 support 12+ mouse buttons. LIke many logitech and other high end gaming mice. Or how about about the Novent Faclon force feedback gaming stick. Or for instance 3D space Navigator, flight sticks, extra.
