Cool places you can take over and live in?

I wanted to hear of abandoned places that are good for living in. On most of my characters I have grand manors or cozy cottages, but those didn't seem to fit my orc. So, I cleaned everything I didn't want out of Meeko's Shack(Read: Dead Nord), arranged my weapons on the table, my miscellaneous objects on the shelves and in buckets and settled in. It even came with a dog, and I don't think the nightstand refreshes your items, but I haven't confirmed that over very long terms yet.

By "Good for living in" I mean not spattered with gore like the Riverside shack, with at least a shelf/desk you can put stuff on, a bed you can sleep in and no requirement to kill an owner.

I don't think there many, if at all, places where you can do this.
I would suggest Bloated Man's Grotto but there are no beds.

Only problem with taking over something is the fact that the place respawns after x number of days. So if you store things there you're items will more than likely be lost.

Does anybody know if the 30 days respawn is since clearing or does the counter reset then you visit like in Oblivion?
Heard diffident options about this.

That's this one cave on the Northern coast of Skyrim, facing the sea...It's close to Winterhold but I don't recall if it's East or West of the city (I think East though). Either way I was walking along the coast and just sort of fell into it. It had the dead body of what appeared to be an apprentice mage, complete with a 'sleeping bag' type bed, and I think a little fire with an excellent view of the water. I thought that would be a really cool place for a loner type character to live, perhaps someone who only visits nearby Winterhold when he absolutely must, and likes that it's a small city.

Anise's Cabin is safe for Storage, it's where my character lives since I don't have Hearthfire yet, and hate all the houses for sale.

just don't trust any of the Barrels for storage, everything else is fine :|

Edit : oh yeah, the boat "The Kataria" is safe storage after the Dark Brotherhood questline, you can live in a big fancy boat.
it doesn't disappear.
