cosmetic changes for werewolves

White werewolves, black werewolves, grey werewolves and maybe something like black and silver. In beast form you should be able to toggle nightvision and possible detect life.

A detect life type spell that has a clairvoyance trail where ever a nearby creature or npc has walked, like a scent trail.

This.

Also it seriously, svcks that you can still only have one Totem Ability. I mean, I kind of guess where Bethesda is coming from, the Werewolf is more focused on brute strength than abilities, as opposed to the Vampire Lord, which is more directed to magic, but still, if you compare the Vampire Lord with the Werewolf, then the Vampire Lord seems overwhelmingly powerful (even a Legendary Dragon is no match for my Vampire Lord Dark Elf). Plus with Vampire Lord you can maintain the form until eternity runs out, while you're on a clock with the Werewolf (and you can't become human again on command), and it's officially got a One Transformation per day limit. Besides looking awesome, the Werewolf doesn't really add that much (in my opinion). It's nice that Bethesda added a Werewolf perk tree with Dawnguard to match that of the Vampire Lord, but they could have done more with it. They even removed the whole "Stage 4 Vampirism reveals your true nature" thing from the Vampire Lord... the Vampire Lord's got alot of pros with a little cons, while Werewolf, has really neither...

Also it would be kinda cool if you could sneak as a werewolf, so you can ambush ranged characters, if you're up again a bunch of mages, they CAN put you down before you even get close to them.

Although it's quite obvious that Dawnguard really focuses on Vampires... so perhaps in the future they will do more and new things with Werewolves in the upcoming DLCs, and with the Vampires aswell, I'd like to see a rival to Clan Volkihar :P

They won't don a werewolf dlc they already have Tribunal for morrowind and Bethesda would never in a right mind repeat a DLC subject. Also another vampire DLC would be cliche.

I agree, maybe Bethesda could add a "werewolf customization screen" which would look similar to the character customization at the beginning of the game and would pop up immediatly when become werewolf. Hopefully beth will add this feature along with werebears, spears, lunar transformations and the option to contract sanies lupinus from wild werewolves in a DLC that takes place in the Hunting grounds.

First of all, the Tribunal expansion had nothing to do with werewolves (you're thinking of the Bloodmoon expansion), and secondly, they have more or less already repeated subjects in DLC. For example,
Spoiler
the Tribunal expansion dealt with sinister gods (or in this case "false gods," though they were more or less gods, but mainly because of a certain artifact), and Shivering Isles dealt with sinister gods as well.
Now, repeating the more specific subjects like using the same (or extremely similar) characters, lands, story arcs, etc., THAT is something that they would not do. In other words, some subjects (generally vague subjects like new armor or new "creatures") will inevitably be re-explored, but certain elements like specific characters and events are likely to be avoided,
Spoiler
like another Bloodmoon Prophesy focused expansion, for example.
In other words, their focus is on doing new content based on lore, without retreading the stuff they've already done recently too much.

Now I don't know if they really need to do a werewolf-centric expansion for Skyrim since I think that would be better suited for a game that does much less for werewolves (like in the cases of Morrowind and Oblivion, which had none, and for some reason werewolves were never added officially into Oblivion), but they can add on to werewolves more as side content in future DLC. Werebears are a little bit of a different matter than werewolves, since they don't yet exist officially in Skyrim.

I agree with what you say. I think a lot of what you say would go over decently well, except for those people who think lunar transformations should never be done ever again even if it's limited to specific strains of the lycanthropic curse. I don't understand that mentality at all. I think lunar transformations should exist for the people who want it.

This, this and this.

I get the whole lunar transformation. In the age of Twilight and vampire's being 'out of their element' as romanicble figures, it'd nice if some real world mythology stuck in games, even if co-existed with a more 'modern' mythology.

I definitly agree that lunar shifting should be available, but only to a specific strain. Maybe something like a wild werewolf, but getting it from Aela gives you controlled/tame transformations. Aso, Lycanthropy in this game is completely restricted compared to the VL. If you cure VL you can get it right back if you wanted to. Lycanthropy you're stricted to two times... Not really fair IMO.

Kind of weird for an Argonian since if this occurred people would have green werewolves...

xD They'd be like the Hulk or some freakish thing...!
