What kinds of cosmetics would you like to see?
Any news, speculation, or conversation about this topic are greatly appreciated.
PS. What about capes as an option? To add or remove whenever you want.
I don't know about removing capes or helms or whether (like some games) you can toggle which armor pieces appear, or can toggle on alternate-appearance items... Guild Wars 2 has a "Town Clothes" toggle, and RIFT has Wardrobe settings where you can display any or all or NONE of your worn armor, or "wear" entirely different pieces of armor and show THOSE.
Regarding cosmetics, I think they have confirmed tattoos are in, and the character creation video showed full-body art in some cases. And I seem to recall mention that some would be race specific (Dunmer House tattoo, I think, was the example).... like hair style, I imagine it'll be locked at character creation, although one would hope they have some way of changing that after creation. Might be a post-launch thing, though, if they even do it.
ZOS has also mention that they would like to have a dying system for armours and that a system that allows you to change the appearance of your gear (a la Transmogrification) will also be in place after launch, I believe.
They should give an option to toggle helmets on and off. The rest doesn't really matter to me, we'll see how it plays out.
YES, YES PLEASE, this seems to be such a basic thing many games lack nowadays (it seems to be more common in older games funnily enough.) It would also be cool if you COULD use the appearance of one armor and the stats of another, it seems likely they will have it luckily since it is more and more common and something that is not way out there for an mmo.
Dragon Age 2 had a helmet toggle that removed the helmet graphic while still allowing the player to retain the armor rating. One reason why that was greatly appreciated is that Bioware are terrible at making decent looking helmets. It's also nice to be able to see my character's face more often (not just in cut-scenes), after all of the time spent in the character creator.
If ESO had a "town clothes" toggle, I might actually have my character wear them, instead of him wearing his armor and weapons everywhere, even when sleeping.
Helmet display is a must I think, and I bet there is going to be in game.
Other than that, I don't wanna see a "wardrobe" choice where no matter what armour you are on, you can look like a girl in a dress. It is lore-unfriendly and annoying. (And no I don't play RP)
