Spoilers obvs...


Thane Bob, the pink deformed Argonian lizardman necromancer werewolf with the soul of a dragon, master of the thieves guild with hobbies like: Hunting deer, drinking mead, setting forest fires and saving the world from living dragon gods that has come to end all life.

Could things end up too absurd or is this just a good example of how diverse it is?

that's the glory of it. If you want to be an absurd character you can. I'll personally be more tame in my roleplays, but the beauty is if you want to, you can.

I hope, as a fix for part of this problem, you don't become the leader of every guild, I don't see why they did that in Oblivion, it was kind of annoying. "You've been here 2 weeks, congratulations new ruler!"

I don't know, my Oblivion characters never became the leader of every guild. The nice thing in RPGs is that they're, if they're good, just a set of rules. A framework within which you can roleplay whoever you want. If you want it to be absurd, you're free to make it so. If you don't, well, then don't. In a way, becoming the leader of every guild is no more absurd than killing hundreds of wolves or rats or maybe draugr. It's up to you and whether you want your character to be like that, or not, or maybe you don't even care because you just want to play a fun game.

Absolutely the insaner the better.
