What do you guys want out of ESO's crafting? Personally, I'd wish they didn't go with the "iron barsx4 for an iron sword". I'd want them to create a system that has a visual layout of whatever you creating, and you have to slot or add whatever components you need. A blade would have a visual representation of an unassembled sword's outline, where you take lets say a glass blade, guard, and hilt. When you hit craft, they come together to form whichever blade you were creating. If they could do something like this, and possibly add variants to the hilts and or guards(using a different type of leather or using a guard with a little more decoration) that actually impact the stats of the item, that sort of crafting would be win. Of course this is just my idea of weapons; armor, alchemy, rune crafting, w/e could follow a similar model, but would be probably need to be changed in some way. Maybe for alchemy, you can brew the mixture of herbs in different types of solutions, that give different properties to the potion/poison than it would with a different solution. Or for a runecrafting profession(pure speculation) a gold frame is a better conduit for the blue colored aylied crystals than silver, making it a more effective item. I just want a crafting system that goes beyond the usual "buy steel, create 10 steel chestpieces, buy copper, make ten copper blades of fortitude" routine. Have some variance in the relationship of the materials invlvoved in a recipe.
