Ok, i gave up trying to run this game independant from steam...i just wanna play.

So i booted up the game...but as soon as the intro starts, the game crashes to desktop...so WTF? I paid over 100 bucks for a game that crashes to destop? What now?

Hey when i was reading your reply i just realized that i forgot to update my drivers for my motherboard and my video card and my sound card. I ALWAYS do that before installing ANY pc game! i just got so caught up in the excitment of finally getting my hands on Skyrim that i forgot to do this, lol. As soon as i realized this i went and updated all my drivers, reinstalled Skyrim and now it works GREAT! I'm experiencing no problems whatsoever! WOOT. Thx so much for kicking my brain into gear
