Crashing Issue Whilst Outside - Changing Resolution Kind of

Okay, I've been having this crash issue i've been posting about. The screen goes black for a few seconds and then crashes to desktop, with the nvidia driver giving a "display driver has stopped responding" error in the taskbar. This ONLY happens outside. I've tried every single possible thing. Apart from changing resolution ("wtf will that do?" I often said to myself)

What I found was, when I lowered my resolution from 1920x1200 (my native resolution) to 1680x1050 (or something along those lines), I'd still get the "display driver has stopped responding" error, with the screen going black (this happens EXTREMELY often outdoors), but the game wouldn't crash-to-desktop, and instead would remain open (well, so far, so good! Fingers crossed, don't want to jinx it). The screen going black is a bit of a nuisance but is a massive improvement for me from the CTDs. Now, I don't know if this will help many other people as not many others seem to be getting this error, they just get a CTD with no error. It can't hurt to give it a try though.

I found that running the game in windowed mode made it easier to get back to the game once it does the whole screen-going-black thing, because if I ran at full-screen I'd have to alt-tab back into the game (and possibly risk further unrelated crashing).

Oh, and my specs (I may as well put these in my signature with the amount of times I've had to put them in my posts)

Intel Core 2 Extreme X9100 @ 3.06-3.47 GHz
nVidia 280m GTX 1GB
4GB RAM
Realtek onboard audio

Hope this has helped a few people until Bethesda or nVidia get their act together and release a patch (unsure which one is the root of the problem at the moment, my guess is the former, especially as the crashing issues seem to be GPU-independent).
