I wear Heavy Armour and specialise in one handers.
The thing is, when one, one-hander strikes, it counts towards it's levelling like it would a 2 hander. With sign of the warrior on, and duel wielding, I had level 50 one hander at level 13. When you mix this with the dragon shout Elemental Fury and then open every attack with the duel wield power attack (that utilises both hands), on top of your flurry weapon attack speed perk, you're hitting Mr Bandit for all of his health before the power attack is done. Dragons take two bursts of this to die.
I've seen a lot of people talking about how duel wielding one handers are hard to play or under powered or whatever, and the case is that even on expert and master I can't really find anyone too hard. Obviously, if you specialise in the wrong secondary skills then you're screwed, but teamed with alchemy, enchanting and heavy armour I'm all but invincible.
This isn't, to my mind, over powered, as I had to put thought into what shouts to use with what weapons (specialising in maces so they cant move for the entire time), as well as specialising in heavy armour for melee attacks and enchanting for extra damage and stamina buffs. Similarly, the only enemy to actually hurt me are archers, who seem to have a stupid boon on armour piercing that negates all my heavy armour (I'd have to have high block to fend them off).
You have any other winning combinations of playstyles you think people have overlooked?
