Crazy Legendary drops

Post » Tue Jan 12, 2016 4:53 am

Since many of the bonuses are flat, many don't scale well with high damage weapons, like a plasma infused guass rifle (+10 energy damage I think). But doubly result in amazing combinations such as the explosive minigun I got from some raider. That modifier give it +15 explosive damage and minor AOE per shot, and with the miniguns base damage being 8, that effectively tripled it's damage out put. :gun: Let me tell you, you don't even need the bloody mess perk to turn your enemies into viscera with that weapon.

Yes, has an two shot assault rifle who does 74 damage on full auto, the exploding minigun does twice as much damage however.

With the right perks mine is doing 911. Won't be surprised if they've done it on purpose hehehe

2 shot .44 pistol.

Got it from a legendary ghoul in the church above the railroad HQ. Make a hard save outside the church and keep loading it until the legendary starts dropping .44 weapons, once he does keep loading the autosave from inside the church until he drops a 2 shot one.

If he drops a legendary weapon you dont like then reload save from outside the church, if he drops one you like (but dont like the bonus from it) then reload the auto save from inside the church.

Get a level 3 weapon shop so you can get ammo for it since it doesn't seem to drop very often.

That's where I got it too, I wasn't sure if posting that was a spoiler or not though so I left the Shaun part out. :)

Spoiler
But while we're on the subject now, it's a very good reason to just store everything in the workshop rather than scrap it all down to steel, wood, screws, etc. etc.. So far I've had everything on hand at RR that he's asked for. I have something like 100 camera's, 70 vacuum tubes, I forget how many biometric scanners. That's all he's asked for so far.

I seem to be getting less Legendary encounters since hitting level 60 and I'm playing on Normal.

Another thing I noticed too is, since I took the perk to loot more ammo, I've run out of shotgun shells and vendors only have a few on hand. Up until I started taking the loot more ammo perks I always had at least 100 shotgun shells at all times and vendors always had plenty on hand.

I have a Junkie Walking Cane. Also a Nocturnal Rolling Pin.

My favorite is the Violent Hunting Rifle. Makes one hell of a sniper.

Never ending double barrel shotgun because who has time to reload. It was like a cheesy action movie constant shot gun from the hip.

Needless to say that was the only gun I used for that whole play through.

Edit:
It was on a legendary synth. So glad he wasn't using it on me.

Anyone kill a legendary enemy that did not have a legendary item?

That happened to me twice.

Pentrating Flamer made me LOL. My favorite one so far is Freezing 10mm Pistol. I love freezing deathclaws before I shoot their legs out with my Kneecapper Fatman. LOL

All this legendary gear, useless or not. In my first playthrough I was getting a lot of melee weapons, me being a sniper. I mean a LOT, like 70% of my legendary drops.

Btw, does luck stat affect the quality of legendary drops ?

I doubt luck affects which legendary effect you get.

I got an arsenal of various legendary 10mm pistols. They far exceed all the other legendary weapons I found. Runner up as a distant second are legendary .38 pipe pistols / rifles.

I've barely found any legendary pipe-stuff. Most frequent by a mile for me have been switch blades.

Martyr's Combat Right Arm. I have, like, 6 of them now.

I know the Commonwealth is irradiated, but, honestly, how many right arms can I have. I think all of my companions are wearing on now.

Oh! And a Junkie's Gauss Rifle. Pretty cool all modded up, but kind of pointless for a non-junkie with it's special ability. Apparently that Albino Radscorpion I got it from ate a junky.

explosive effects each pellet on shotguns, so the explosion is 15*8, or 120 damage, 240 with demolitions expert.
