Creating Multiple NPCs in the CL

Post » Tue Nov 20, 2012 12:27 pm

Hi folks!

Is there anything special that I need to do to create or change multiple NPCs in Skyrim, Dawnguard and HearthFires-- into one .esp or .esm? Just thought I'd at least enquire. Thanks loads.

Define 'CL'? If you just want to override NPCs from all three files, you'll need to have them all loaded while your file is active as well as, in SkyrimEditorPrefs.ini,

[General]bAllowMultipleMasterLoads=1

I apologize. I meant the Creation kit. I just want to remake some of the vanilla NPCs in Skyrim, Dawnguard, and HearthFires. Sometimes, it is just the hair or cosmetic. But, I wanted to include all into one .esp or .esm.

Oh, sorry. I should have figured that out. &--#62;_&--#60;

With the above INI edit, all should fare well. Just tick all the DLCs in the File > Data window and any/all actors in the game/DLCs can be modified with a single plugin.

I have all that. If you are referring to; bAllowMultipleMasterLoads=1

My question is geared more towards “How do I get all of those NPC changes into one single .esp or .esm file?” Rather than having six or eight separate .esps for each NPC? So, if I have to reinstall Skyrim for some reason I can just install on single file. I guess I am not making much sense, am I?

Oh, you have edits in separate plugins that you want to merge into a single file?

If so, open all your plugins in TES5Edit. All of their masters (the official plugins) will be loaded. From there, you can R-Click > Add Masters, then add any missing masters to any one of the plugins such that all official plugins are in one plugin's masterlist. From there, R-Click > "Sort Masters" and you should be able to copy all of the NPC edits into that file at which time you should be able to dispose of the others.

Awesome! Thank you!
