Creation Kit Bug

Post » Mon Nov 19, 2012 11:36 am

Downloaded the Creation Kit today, but quickly ran into a show stopper. In the tutorial the V key toggles views and Y is used for editing on the Y axis. After installing the kit I found that the Y key is assigned to the toggle views and there is no way to work with the Y axis on objects- pretty bad. There is a way to view the hotkeys, but they cannot be changed. Anyone have any news on this?

C might be what you're after. I think they changed it to be next to Z and X.

V controls zooming with the mouse, you are indeed thinking C. And they swapped the input for C and Y about three months ago so the axis-lock shortkeys are Z X C all right there and easier to press. Now Y does the camera toggle.

Actually I think having V control zooming with the mouse is an option set under Preferences | Movement.

True. You can toggle it on and off in the preferences, but by default it's on.
