Creation Kit Check Boxes

Post » Sun Nov 18, 2012 8:57 am

When I use the Creation Kit, certain check-boxes and their titles become "scrunched" together in such a way that prevents me from being able to read what they do.
I've provided an image to help make sense of what I'm describing. Note the check-boxes on the left side of the image.

I'm running Windows 7 64bit and I think this may be the cause. Anyone know a solution to fix my problem?

Can't see photo ... No permission (need Nexus login ... yeah I should get one ... and so on ...) :(

But I use Win64 and have not seen an issue with checkboxes.

What screen resolution are you running? (I would think that is a more likely cause?)

I'm running Windows 7 64 bit as well and I don't get the same issue. Have you tried resizing window, I don't think that would have an effect on the check boxes but why not try it?

Edit: oh yes resolution could be the issue

Looks like you're running the OS with a font size larger than the default. Try reducing it.

I've changed from my default resolution of 1920x1080 to all other options. I've re-sized the window. My font size is set to minimum (default) but I changed to medium just to see if that would help. I've even unplugged my second monitor. Nothing I've done has fixed this issue. I guess I'll try re-installing the CK.

EDIT - Re-installing did not help either.

Strange, when I'm not half asleep I'll fool around with what I have to see if I notice anything that might help. In the meantime you can take a look at http://www.creationkit.com/Race to see what those check boxes do.

Thanks. I know what they do, it's just an inconvenience to have to remember which box is which rather than just reading them. I hope you can figure out the problem, because I certainly am unable too.

Interesting ... maybe ... are you running a dual monitor setup, then? CK on one, game on the other (or whatever)? Maybe that has an effect (which isn't going away after you removed that monitor)?

Anyone else tried it?

I think I might have an idea, but without a picture this is a shot in the dark... But here goes, I found with my system witch is also running win 7 64 bit, that I couldn't see the names because they were under one of the actual windows. All I did was resize the windows inside the CK.
