Creation Kit Keyboard Shortcuts Cheat Sheet

Post » Tue Sep 22, 2015 2:48 pm

Hey there ladies and gentlemen, I hope you're all doing well today. My name is Fitzgerald Lewis and this will be my first formal post to the forums. I'm studying game design at George Mason University in Northern Virginia, currently I'm trying to teach myself the Creation Kit with the aid of youtube tutorials and the wiki. As is my usual modus operandi when learning new software, I've created a reference sheet for keyboard shortcuts. I wanted to share it with you as I imagine some of you will find the visual helpful. This is meant to be printed in landscape mode, but allow this to be my first contribution to the forums and I hope it'll help everyone out.

One of the first things I did when I started using CK a couple of weeks ago was create a hotkey reference page at the CK wiki if you are interested in contributing:

http://www.creationkit.com/Hotkey_reference

I'll check yours out and compare it against what I have there.

When I follow the link, I get a bad gateway error. It seems that the same result occurs when searching for the document through the wiki search bar. Do you have a hard copy linked elsewhere?

that's odd. When I do a search for hotkey reference on the CK wiki it just takes me to the page straightaway. I also have no problem following the link. I don't have another location, but I can put the text in a spoiler (including the wiki markup unfortunately, since I'm just copying from an edit page)

I was unable to locate it, but thank you for sharing your work as well. With that said, what I would mention as the difference between your work and the reference sheet I created boils down to the intention behind my reference sheet is for "commonly used" keyboard shortcuts. Yours seems much more thorough than mine. That being said, they are both helpful in their own rights. Thanks for sharing, I'm looking forward to sharing my work with the community as time goes along.

Thank you and welcome aboard!

I can't work without hotkeys... Maya has spoiled me with marking menus and hotbox...
