Creatures making sparkly noises... please help

So basically all the creatures sparkle. I honestly haven't got a clue what could possibly cause such a thing, but every time I fight a Nix-Hound or something it makes sparkly noises when moving. I tried digging around my sound folder to find it, but no luck, it must be ingrained in a .esp somewhere. Literally everything in my setup is perfect, except for the sparkling creatures. Maybe I could just pretend that my character hallucinates a lot or something.

You're using two different esps for doors of oblivion. You need only 1.3

If you're using a replacer for meshes/textures on creatures (which would not have a esp) remove those files and see what happens.

This did not fix it, but thank you! Every little bit of cleanliness on my setup helps.









This did not fix it either, but on the plus side I re-applied all my old texture replacers that got replaced when adding landmass/content mods (there was blurry vanilla textures everywhere), so at least now I've restored full visual fidelity to my game!

try this:

make a Data Files\sndtest.bat text file with these lines, replacing your proper path inside

List is ok, all new soundgen entries seem to be assigned to a creature_id, sorry I think your problem is not a soundgen entry, that would have been a common cause of noises, only remaining idea at the moment is trying the good (but long) old http://www.mwmythicmods.com/argent/tech/bin_srch.html

You are a genius m8, I have pinpointed the .esp thanks to your binary search technique! Disabled 30 at a time, and when the problem went away I was like "target acquired." Narrowed it all down, and then BOOM!

Not sure why this esp in particular causes it, but there we go! I shall decide if I wanna be rid of it or try to fix the esp. Thank you so much for the help! (Also thanks for the pointer on needing the TR esp's only for your SiltStriders and Boats mod.)

Dunno why the script did not seem to have processed at all Tel_Meskoa_Tel _Matouigius_1.2_EV.esp in your out.txt, e.g. with my loading list related output is (I think I had fixed the mod sounds way back while moving it as Tel_Meskoa_Tel _MatouigiusFM.esp)
