hey folks,

i just got the Critical Charge perk on my dual wielding/shield Orc,
at first i though the whole perk just did not work, since i was using the blades katana and 2 scimitars.
i knew you'd get a gong like sound and the crit text in the upper left corner since i had a 2 handed char before.

but nothing, the animation shows but it does not do more damage then a normal power attack.

after some more testing it seems it is bugged just for swords, i tried several axes and maces and they seemed to be fine, you get the gong and the crit text.
plus they did the damage you'd expect from a crit.
this is perticularly annoying since i specced into swords..

is this a known bug? because i couldn't find it anywhere on this forum nor on google.

ps. bought and playing it via steam.

The tooltip says it just does x2 damage when it crits, not that it crits 100% of the time. Is it supposed to?

yea, normally you would have 0% crit with an axe. but the point of the crit charge is that it always crits when you do a sprint power attack :/

i used it ALOT on my 2 handed char so i know that it always crits normally. even with swords...
that was pre 1.2 tho so maybe that broke it

Hmm it seems you're right, and I think it's the Bladesman perk that messes it up and overrides it. I tried removing bladesman through console and now critical charge crits all the time with 1 hand swords.

2/3 or 3/3 in sword specc does not change this

the sole reason i made ebony maces and axes and not swords, i really like charging people:P

i know 13 days later..

but

it does it for 2 handed swords to for me...
there we go back to axe/maces sighn...
