What I mean by cross-alliance healing is when a member of one alliance heals a member of a different alliance. Now, I understand why this should not be allowed when at special PVP events, and I hope the reasons for this is obvious. However, what about when we're out and about in Cyrodiil. Should players be able to heal a member of another alliance, in this situation?
Say you have a group of three players, one from each alliance, who happen to be friends. They may wish to move around Cyrodiil looking for situations where they have two players in the fight (if they met another group set up like their own then things would get interesting, but I'll leave that for now). Should the third person, who is in the same alliance as the enemy be able to heal his or her friends who are fighting against members of his or her own alliance?
I think yes, but what do you think?
It's not just healing of course, but any kind of beneficial action. Also, keep this in mind: one of the great advantages of having three sides in the war is that if one side is doing especially great, the other two can go a bit easier on each other to unite against the more powerful enemy. In an unbalanced fight (just an out in Cyrodiil, nothing special fight), two alliances might want to prevent themselves from being steamrolled by the third, and cross-alliance healing would very much help with this.
However, it would be frustrating if fighting enemies and then someone from your own alliance began healing them, with you unable to do anything about the healer's presence (i.e. cut them up, or whatever). It could always be a criminal offence against your own alliance to heal the enemy, and this could make you attackable by your own alliance, maybe?
I'm not in the beta and the information relevant to this might be readily available, though I didn't find it with Google, so maybe the first reply will start "oi, stupidbum ...", but I'm curious to see some thoughts on cross-alliance healing.
