Crossfire Support

Post » Tue May 15, 2012 2:53 pm

Hi all! I am here to post an issue i have. Let me first note that i am extremely excited to play this game.

Specs:
Intel core i7 920
AMD 6870 x2 in crossfire
3GB Of DDR3 @ 1333
Vista 64bit

Ill get right to it! The game runs perfectly smooth on Ultra using ONLY one of my Graphic Cards.

Crossfiring both cards only gives me about 5fps.

Is there going to be a crossfire profile released soon for this game?

Thanks for an early response!!!

Last I heard AMD is working on a new driver, and NVidia released a beta driver for SLI. I have no other details.

I dare say AMD are working furiously to get a CAP released for Skyrim very soon. All of us with dual Radeon GPU are struggling with performance when both are enabled at the moment.

I also have dual 6870s in CFX. Right now I'm forcing the game to use triple buffering and Oblivion's crossfire profile in Radeon Pro. That gave me a good 25 FPS boost to performance. Try it out as a temporary fix until AMD gets us a new CAP.

And here's the info on the Skyrim CAP:

Where can I find the Oblivion profile?

Crossfire support is broken for some users (myself with 2x6850s included). Looks like its a SW:TOR weekend for me. Hopefully some new drivers will come down next week.
