It seems most people are drifting left. All over forums around the webz. I would disagree in saying this is good, though. There is a thing called tolerance. Out of the 200+ games I have played on the 360 (not including the hundreds on PS3, XBOX, PS2, PS1, Dreamcast and N64) all developers/programmers have found a reasonable tolerance with the given controllers, new or ragged out. This is an exception. They have ignored the mean tolerance of all controllers in consumers hands, even new ones, and instead released a game with a faulty control scheme. If most are not "zeroed in" then that should have been factored in. With respect to ANY anolog stick being not zero, this is not fault of the 360, this is common on ANYTHING anolog.
You're right about that, but this is not what i meant. I just tried to say that most games today have a dead spot that is WAY to large, making control on gamepads a horrific experience.
I hate it when you have to move the stick heavily out of its zero point before anything happens, especially with racing and fps games. The slight drift doesn't bother me at all.
The controls in Rage are perfect for me although it sometimes has this drift when standing still. But it does immediately react when i push the stick into any direction.
This is what i meant by: this is good!
If somebody of ID Soft is reading this:
Make the tolerance adjustable! In most (serious) racing games on consoles this is an option.
