That is most definitely 100% the CryEngine 2.
All of the CryEngine 3 videos are nowhere close to that kind of graphical realism. Sad but true.

that's a photo with the SCAR and nanoarms shopped on top. i'm pretty sure i've seen a higher res version of this image somewhere else before. if you tried to achieve these graphics you wouldn't worry about the tree models, you'd have your struggle with aliasing and the amount of grass / its detail.

Palm trees look awesome ! + you can cut shoot them in half and everything, and the leaves and branches have realistic physics properties

That will be quite a long time. But the thing is the software there is simply a rendering software. It is not in realtime like Cryengine 3. It is much harder to do all that in realtime and put that into a game (no one would even be able to play it properly)
