Crysis 2 competitive or casual?

Post » Sun Aug 08, 2010 6:05 pm

Will this game on the console be a competitive experience like that of Halo 1/2/3? No CoD has ever been competitive do to the RNG blooms and stupidly short kill times. Reach is a joke and isn't competitive at all (massive hitboxes, random/inconsistent bloom). So will this game have a large skill gap? Or will it be casual so even bad players will be able to take on good players, because that is pretty lame.

Its coming for consoles...so yes.. it must be casualized and easy to play for pad-gamers.
If its not, it wont be a big succes. The only hope is that the Pc version will be more competetive because of the better accuracy of mouse and keyboard.

I'd say easy to play hard to master, it doesn't take long to work out the best suit powers for the job but knowing when to use what, which nanosuit powers to take, what weapons to select, and then how to use all this stuff the best... that take skill and knowledge.

I think it's going to be quite a while until the skill cap of players reaches the potential the game gives you.

I really did like the first halo game it required
a ton of skill to play but halo reach is lacking
well everything its a peice of **** but what i
mean is its lacking skill! instead of actually
fighting the enemy you just shoot them really
fast as they come around the corner and there
dead to get to the point its looks like who
gets the first shots wins instead of who has the
best skills wins, on crysis 2 multiplayer ive seen
it seems to be like every other multiplayer how
they could change this would be to make it so
it takes alot more shots to kill somebody i mean
Seriously? THEY DON'T EVEN HAVE A CHANCE TO
RETURN FIRE!!!

How fast they die seems to depend on how close to the head you shoot. Shooting the body definitely gives enough time to return fire but the head make for a pretty quick kill.

i would advise you to play crysis wars as it is as skilled as it can get, the problem is that the game is pretty much dead already
thats why most of the pc crysis gamers are not liking the changes that have been made, it seams like they are making the game too much noob-friendly and there is no point on gaining skill and making stunning manoeuvres to kill someone when you can just come out of a corner and fire a couple or two of rounds and get a kill, or just press a button in the air and get an instant kill with a face plant and so on...
