Hello I pre ordered crysis 2 and had it all ready to play on the day of the launch I tried playing it however it kept freezing on the eye. So I tried comparability mode closing other applications etc still no luck... So today I redownloaded only to find it still does the same all my drivers are up to date...

How long are you waiting for the program to load? The CryEngine eye is on for about 30 seconds. (Unnecessary, I know.)

Well I wait about 1-2 minutes have left it on while I have been having dinner and I just come back to my desktop, guessing the game has stopped responding.

Try downloading the manual patch, and apply it.

Steam has just downloaded another update and it still fails to launch :@
