Crysis 2 is just not starting up

Post » Sun Apr 11, 2010 11:20 pm

Ok so I just bought Crysis 2 when it came out here thinking, right ohn. So I install it. I also try running it and a

patcher comes up and puts me up to 1.1, I believe that was the patch. Anyway, I have now tried running it and

nothing. Just nothing. Not a. Zip! I've added it to the EA download manager hoping to maybe play it from there.

Nothing. I get no error message. It doesn't show up in task manager as a application or process. I've tried

running it off the DVD using the autorun and also nothing. I'm at a loss here. HELP!

Make sure that your anti-virus isnt blocking it, thats was my problem. Also make sure your drivers are all up to date.

Had the same problem, Windows is blocking it from connecting to the internet. You need to allow it permission. Also, try disabling your virus scanner.

Thank you to the people that mentioned Anti-virus. I didn't think it would be a big issue considering its only AVG. Didn't think it would of been a problem but I just got rid of it, considering its free, and the game actually starts up now which is awesome cause so far its an awesome game, really fun. Also answering the one persons question about what graphics card I have, no. I have a ATI Radeon HD 3800 series. I don't think its a graphics issue for starting up considering anti virus was mentioned and BAM get rid of it and it works now. I got other things I can use for scanning and what not. Woohoo!
