crysis 2 needs dismemberment

Post » Tue Aug 24, 2010 10:43 pm

black ops has dismemberment in it so its only fair that crysis 2 have it as well. This would greatly add to the realism of the simulated warfare experience. I love crysis 2 and I want to see it out sell black ops. Everyone is getting tired of call of duty. Its time for a new fps experience and I think crysis 2 has the potential to outsell black ops. But it is going to have to be more violent and more realistic.

Umm, no it won't...

Honestly speaking here, I like gore in some games. But for a game like this, it wouldn't suit it if you ask me. I don't have a good reason why, but my gut feeling tells me it just wouldn't cut it out.

And before we go any further, this game is being made in Germany, and they have strict laws when it comes to gore. So I doubt you'll see anything like that in there.

Blood will be in the game, but not gore.

EDIT: I just remembered that they're thinking of ruling out this law, but I'm not sure, I need to find that news source.

Dismemberment is not necessary, especially with the nanosuit

Personaly the less Crysis 2 is like any Call of Duty game the better... there are far to meny shooters out now that are all just the same generic crap. I'm sure Crysis will give CoD a good run for it's money.

Just like most of you's said, I too don't like the idea of dismemberment or gore in a crysis game. It just doesnt suit it and it wont feel right.

you won't get a prize, I do hope it will be deleted, it's very irritating!

I don't really see why it should have dismemberment.

For gore, you will have BulletStorm ....

I can't see Crysis gore. It's not compatible.

If this is about adding too much gore into the game, too much object searching, random operations and post processing like in some games is not a good idea for a game as intense without the need of gore. :)

But apparently it's not tough enough to withstand a knife.

They could release a non violent version for germany and a gorey version for usa. They did the same thing for black ops a non violent version for countries that do not allow any violence in any media. Along with a violent version for countries that do allow violence in media. Crysis 2 must have ultra realism the way we have seen in other games. Left for dead 2, fallout, black ops are much more realistic in terms of how gory and destructive guns and bombs are. Crysis 2 cannot compete as a game where people just fall down without any sign of trauma after being pummeled with bombs and bullets its just silly. In real life bombs and bullets rip people to shreds. I find the low violence approach to be a real cop out on the side of the developers.

I understand what your saying man I love crysis and I want it too be unique. Part of the problem with alot of fps is they can be run of the mill and dull. However adding gore isn't about making crysis boring its actually about making it more realistic and interesting. If anything crysis needs to be even more violent than other fps out there because of the nanosuit. Nanosuit gives super human strength so it should be possible to dismember enemies with your barehands. Literally sneak behind a north korean commie and pull his head off with the spinal cord still attached.

This is one of the most dumbest ideas I ever heard, this would push the game age rating to 18+, not like it matters 'cause it's not respected, but law-hard countries would respect this.

Want dismemberment? Go to anatomy class.

Med school thinking,, but the Idea for so much gore in Crysis 2 is kinda un-necessary.
