Crysis 2 E3 noobs

Post » Wed Sep 10, 2008 8:17 am

I'm not sure whats up, but in all the e3 videos I've seen for Crysis 2 (the onstage demo and the recent interview), the player representing Crytek barely knows what he's even doing... he just plain svcks at the game, and is not properly displaying game mechanics and is making the gameplay look veeery slow paced and boring, and fails at using the nano suit... At least send someone who knows how to play the damn game if you're going to show it off in front of thousands of people.

Gameplay is scripted... He can only do what the devs tell him to, ex. aim down sight, go there, crouch, run here, plant c4 here.... etc. Not his fault.

uuuh u do know its Cevat Yerli playing the on-stage demo right? he had an xbox controller in his hand when he went up. and when they do these things they are probably limited to what they are allowed to do in order to only show aspects of the game that the they want to at the time.

Yea also idk why they would have arguably the best looking game ever showing the first gameplay on the xbox 360?

The gameplay is all set up in the sense that they already know what they are doing, before the video even begins. This way, they don't accidentally show off too much at once from an unscripted gameplay video.

Also the godmode seems to be on lol. KInda ruins your view on the game; just gotta think "i will not play like a nub when i get the game" - then its all ok.

I guess the PC will just like concoles because they won't spend extra money for PC. Because they think that is not "worth it"! They will deceive themselves say " we won't earn much money on PC"!

Stop being so negative, usarmyhank. This game started on PC, it will look good on PC. There's a reason why they have the LiveCreate feature, so it doesn't look like a poor port.

Also, the game itself was shown on the 360 for the sake of EA's marketing strategy. Show the crap stuff first then the best to last. Best way to put it.

PC is where their engine shines, that's why so many of us mod Crysis. The reasons you gave are really weak, no offence.

They're keeping it down, trying not to reveil too much of the weapons and suit powers and who knows what.
