windows 8

HA -- Sad but true. Windows 8/8.1 is to Windows 7 as Windows Vista is to Windows XP as Windows ME is to Windows 98. Wait until 2015 when Micro$oft releases Windoze 9 -- I know I'm not going to install that sh** on my system until then.

First thing i will say is that people who complain about win8/8.1 dont actually use it, so they dont really know what its like or how to deal with it.

Secondly i have been running win8 since April this year, and installed 8.1 as soon as it was released.

First thing i did was disable the win8 metro UI by installing a program called "Start8" by stardock. This disables all the win8 metro ui and the pc looks and operates exactly the same as win7, and you have a start menu, with a link to the win8 metro ui menu.

Now.. i have also been running ALL the crysis games on this pc since April and i have never had any issues with any of them that were any way related to the win8 OS.

First thing you need to do is a clean install of your crysis games, second you need to add the *.exe files from each game to your antivirus exception list, and any other programs that are directly related to running the game. For example i have my c3, fraps, geforce experience, and origin added to my antivirus exceptions. Next you need to right click on the crysis3.exe and check the box to run as Administrator, click apply then OK. Also you may need to disable your UAC during install and/or permanently. but if you do this, you are responsible for what websites you visit and you should re-enable it if you are unsure.

There is no need to run any of these crysis games in compatability mode, they all work fine under win8.1. if none of these things work, then there is something wrong with your installation of windows 8/8.1. Make sure also to update ALL your drivers, both graphics and your hardware, including mouse, keyboard etc. and make sure windows is fully up to date too. Also right click on the games after install and select "check for update".

if you have any more problems let me know.
