I assume he means the specifications to run it on high, so yes, recommended.

That's probably for Gtx series to handle for Nvidia and the new Ati 6900's, though only in theory ;)

Would I be able to run Crysis 2 at high/very high settings at 1440x900 resolution?
These are my computer specs:

-Windows XP Home Edition 2002(SP3)
-Intel Core 2 Duo CPU E7400 @2.8GHz/2.8GHz
-3.25 GB RAM
-NVidia GeForce 9800 GT 512GB

I have the first Crysis and I can run that at high settings no problem at all while averaging 50 FPS.

A perfect matching rig to the min. system requirements, should do fine :) Good luck :)

I hope I can run Crysis 2 with Max settings @ DX11, at least in 1600x900 windowed with:

AMD/ATI 5850 Mobility with 1GB DDR5
8GBs of DDR3
i7 720QM 1.6GHz Quad-core
Windows 7 Ultimate x64

I can do fine with Crysis 1 and Warhead but this looks better so I don't know.

If the settings I can use look great then I'm happy. I don't want Crytek to dumb down Maximum settings just so I can say my PC runs it I'd rather have more options instead and added value when I next upgrade. Although I just did in October.

Ok. I'm seriously hoping to still be able to run this game on max with just an

i7 920 (stock clock) and
GTX 480 (stock clock)

I can run it max in Crysis 1 and Warhead. Thoughts?

Well... they said that if you can run Crysis/Warhead maxed you most likely can run this maxed. So you should be fine. Although I have the same processor and I suggest that you overclock it, as it's really easy and very effective. I oc'd it from 2,6ghz? I think to 3,8ghz no signs of overheat and it's been working perfectly for an year now.

I really can't understand something on Crysis games, Cryengine only requires graphical cards, processor if you have a Core 2 duo your fine. Can anyone explain me why that?

It's the Cryengine, it takes a lot of the Pc's raw power ;)

Ironically, the minimum requirements for Crysis 2 are what constituted the recommended specs for Crysis !!!
