Crysis performance issues. : Crysis

I recently purchansed the download version of Crysis. Even at the lowest settings the game gets choppy in single player mode. I have the 1.2 patch and the hotfix. I hve the latest drivers for my graphics card and I'm running DirectX 9c.
My computer specs are:
AMD Phenom II X4 965 black edition 3.4 Ghz quad core
4 gb of DDR3 ram (3.15 recognized)
780Gb free on a 1Tb hard drive
Nvidia GeForce 8400GS 1024MB DDR3

Please help!

8400 GS <-- theres your problem, that card won't be able to handle Crysis 2

Where can I find the video card specs besides just the amount of memory it should have?
